The KaraFilm Festival award has been named 'The Ciepie' (pronounce: SEE-PEE) It has been designed by Junaid Chhabbra, a graduate of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture who teaches at Karachi University. It is in the shape of a sea shell and moulded in aluminium, signifying the young and modern city-on-the-sea that is Karachi.
